Sichuan Online reporters learned that Chengdu will gradually restrict and ban the production and sales of non-degradable plastic bags and disposable plastic products; promote shopping malls, supermarkets, pharmacies, bookstores and other places in the city's urban built-up areas, as well as catering takeout services and various It is prohibited to use non-biodegradable plastic bags in exhibition activities; consumers are encouraged to use cloth bags, vegetable baskets, etc. for shopping and groceries.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Chengdu Municipal Market Supervision Bureau, in 2023, the city will carry out random inspections of environmentally-related plastic products. Among them, 15 batches of plastic shopping bags were randomly inspected, and 6 batches were unqualified; 12 batches of plastic garbage bags, 1 batch was unqualified; 5 batches of plastic disposable tableware, 10 batches of biodegradable plastic products, and 7 batches of agricultural films. , all qualified.
